Intermediate Scale:
This event usually generates the biggest entry and with my Hangaronekits DH 80 Pussmoth. This also

competition. We had one dropout with James Farrow’s round but was enough to still pull through and win. Mike
Fw190 absolutely refused to start so we were down to six. Briggs came in second with his well competed with
There was a great variety of models from Adam Butler’s Fairchild PT19. Its been around a while and Mike flies it

flying and some good choices in his schedule that showed
the strong points of the Fletcher. Robert Lockyer flew his
Piper Cub with a lot of skill and some rudder coaching from
me! He finished a very creditable second with some
excellent piloting. Anton Nikoloff finished in 3rd flying his
Piper Pawnee. Adam Butler battled into 4th with his lovely
DH2 Pusher. Kaden Newman came and flew his Extra
Aerobatic model but was penalised for not having a pilot
figure (you also get pinged in IMAC for not having one and
Scale is no different). Stephen Hutchison came across
from Kapiti to fly at his first scale competition with a very
nice Smith Miniplane. He almost had an issue when the
model reverted to a different model selection before he
flew, luckily it was sort out before he flew, and he credited
himself well – a very good effort on his part.

    F4H Scale:
As usual , this is always a small entry, this year with 4
people. Neil Schrader had his superb P47 Razorback on
show but unfortunately succumbed to catch one of the
undercarriage legs on the long grass at the edge of the
strip which put paid to his competition. I won the event with
