Midwinter in Control-Line-Land is when things get
busy with Slow Combat. The 26th annual Shortest
Day Combat contest is on at JR Airsail again and
we're all looking forward to it. In addition to the
contest there's a remit to consider on the speed
    limit rule - details follow...

    Remits
There are two remits up for voting on CL classes.
Firstly The propeller rule in Class Team Race. 2004 NZ F2D Combat team at Muncie World Champs: L-R Bryce Gibson,
                                                      Chris Renton, Glen Lewis
Several racing classes limit propellers to
commercially available nylon or plastic types, but
Classic Team Racing additionally requires that
they be available in NZ model shops. Rather than
end up with a very limited supply of legal props we
want to make that rule the same as in several other
    racing classes.

Secondly, The Slow Combat speed limit rule has
been modified ad hoc at contests for several
years. This remit is to restore the original speed
limit and establish a consistent penalty and
process for breaches. Details are published on the
CL SIG page on www.mfnz.org - Voting should still
be open by the time this issue of MFW goes out:

    Stunt Series
By now the CL Stunt series will have been finished
off at the final round at Christchurch MAC over Andrew Robinson leads his race by one lap at the 2004 World Champs.
King's Birthday Weekend. After the penultimate
round at Tauranga MAC it looked like Kevin
Barnes was due to regain the top title, but there
    w e r e m a t h e m a t i c a l
    permutations that meant all of
    the top six places were
    technically up for grabs. Who
    went, who flew and what
    happened? Results will be
