The months are passing by and soon it is Christmas and
straight after is the National Championships to be held at
    Carterton

There are some really important points to remember re
    the National Championships.
    1. Trophies, Please return all trophies from the last
Nationals, make sure they are engraved and
polished. If you are not attending and you have a
trophy to return, please arrange for its return with
someone. Also if you win a Trophy and aren't there at
prizegiving to receive it , please arrange in advance
for someone ( not me ) to get it to you.
    2. Aggregate. Requires a helmet for competitors. A
bicycle one is usually the best and is lightweight. Also
it is reccommended timekeepers etc wear them too.
    3. Electric Fences, Be aware of them and take care not
to get a shock off them. I will have spare pipes for
holding them down, come and see me.
    4. There will be a shortage of contest directors for
Freeflight. David Ackery and I will be doing most of it
but any extra help would be graciously received. We
will use clipboards for most of the activities to write
the score down so make sure your timekeeper has
got your scores in accurately and by 1200 each day.
    5. REMEMBER THE FIRE RISK. The planet is getting
hotter and where I come from we have had an
excessive number of Fire calls already!
    6. Take care on the Farmers property. We are there as a
         priveledge, not a right.
    7. A defibrilator will be on site daily, which hopefully
wont need to be used but just know it is there!

A few other things. Len Surtees the Chuckie Guru of Sting
Kits, from Australia, is attending. I hope to get him to give
us a talk on various parts of the events he flies. He is out to
beat all our NZ Chuckie records so please give him some
Rob Wallace with Square Eagle P.30. He had some great trimming advice
good competition. from the gurus to make it fly better.
P18 will be flown to the rules put together by David Ackery just get photos of me taken on my cell phone. You have
and the Free flight SIG. This includes the use of propellor been warned!
type as supplied by the SIG.
See you all at the Nationals.
The Free Flight SIG AGM will be held on 3rd January
2025 at the Carterton Showgrounds at approximately Rob Wallace
3.30 pm, followed by prizegiving. Please attend to make Free Flight SIG Chairman
sure we have a quorum. There are no Remits at present
    for the AGM.
