This year’s event held at Morrinsville Stadium on
October 8, was equally as well supported as last
year’s contest. It has become a mecca for the regulars
who have made the journey to fly there over the years
as well as the more recent flyers. Morrinsville Stadium
has much to recommend it of course, with a high
ceiling and two court floor area providing tons of space The stadium is a great space for indoor flying. Hand Launched Glider practice

Hangar Rat
The generous hall space made both flying in this event
and watching it, a rewarding experience. The event
was well supported with excellent times in the top
placings. Dave Jackson and Bernard Scott put in
flights around the three minute mark to make top and
second place and Bill Long’s times gradually
improved over the morning to give him third.
Hand launched Glider
There was just a small group of flyers in Hand
Launched Glider. Jason Magill showed some great
launching and flying technique. Dave Jackson was
