This year’s event held at Morrinsville Stadium on
October 8, was equally as well supported as last
year’s contest. It has become a mecca for the regulars
who have made the journey to fly there over the years
as well as the more recent flyers. Morrinsville Stadium
has much to recommend it of course, with a high

placings. Dave Jackson and Bernard Scott put in
flights around the three minute mark to make top and
second place and Bill Long’s times gradually
improved over the morning to give him third.

There was just a small group of flyers in Hand
