34Its Official! Indoor Catapult Launch Glider is now an Official event and rules are now on the Model Flying New Zealand website. Voting for it was put on the FFONZ Facebook page as well as MFNZ Website. There were 9 votes cast and it was a Unanimous Yes Vote! This event will be included in the program of the up and coming National Championships in January 2026. This event is hopefully going to attract the more senior members of our organisation back to Indoor flying as trying to launch a very lightweight Hand Launch Glider has caused some people to have shoulder muscle injuries in the past and this event helps move away from that happening. Thanks to David Ackery for helping promote this event.Sources for Kits and plans are available from J&H Aerospace. ( Joshua Finn ). He does a good service. Dave Ackery has also done a plan called Ping! Recently 4 Freeflight Scale Modellers flew in Australia and made the podium. They were Paul Squires, Antony Koerbin, Stan Mauger and Ricky Bold. Their models are works of art and they have put in hours of dedication to build them. Well done Guys!At the time of writing Hamish Galloway is about to search for a field or Fields for our Freeflight events for the Nationals events near the small township called Onga Onga. In my very early days I lived near there and there is some big areas of flat land in that area. Hamish is a very busy person dealing with a Dairy Farm, Children, Sickness, and an upcoming trip to Muncie Indiana, so patience is required. He does know a lot of the land owners in that area.Flying at a new site takes adjustment to what we are used to and the Freeflight SIG has decided to try and keep the Nats Freeflight entry fee down to encourage people to go thereRob WallaceFFSIG ChairpersonA1, P30, E36, 1/2APower, Kiwi Power, Coupe, Mini Vintage*all 3x120 & Catapult Glider, 6x60*Mini Vintage - Combinesi) Miniature Replicaii) Gliders to 50 inch spaniii) Rubber up to 36 inch span
