     Held at JR Airsail

With “Team Craighead” away in China for an Aerobatic Onto Sunday morning and after some fog the day once
competition it was left to the committee to run this event. I again was awesome. We finished up the remaining 3
promoted myself to chief computer operator with my able rounds of F3R with JD on top.
sidekick June as a timer and other fill ins as necessary.
Jono and Tania were doing calling duties. F3T was next with Ron (Len’s motor), Len and talked into
it JD. 5 rounds flown with JD putting in 5 times to take out
Apart from a light tail wind the weather was a beautiful the win. Ron had 2 rounds until a bad motor run and Len
Autum day for both Saturday and Sunday. took his motor back. No other mishaps.

We were down on numbers due to duck shooting A lunch break and some test flights. Len flew is old F3D
weekend and broken models. Great to see Peter and I woossed out due to the not too bad tailwind. JD
Williams up from Wellington. offered me a fly of his F3T which I declined but took the
offer to fly his F3R. Blimey I was nervous but had 2 flights
We started with 5 entries in Q500 Sport and got through 5 and it flies just like mine did. Funny that.
rounds of good racing with no mishaps. Ron is still top
dog. We then decided to fly 5 more rounds of Q500 Sport.
Perhaps Len regretted it as he buried his model in the dip
Onto F3R with 4 entries. I was out still waiting on a new down the front straight. Obviously, he did not set his
wing from Australia. Great to see JD racing as he has had altimeter correctly.
some sight issues lately. I know all about that. The
decision was made after 2 rounds, to postpone flying until All in all, a great weekend. Thanks to the committee
Sunday, as the sun was becoming bothersome. Dave, Antony, and Peter for getting all the lights out
quickly and efficiently and of course my wife June for
Onto the end of season BBQ at the Airsail Sports Bar. Big timing all weekend and dinner prep.
thanks to June for her special meat patties for the burgers
and the rest of the stuff. Better than Bogans I say. Hugh
thanks to John and Sharon for the facilities and Colonel
     Coleman on cooking duties.
